| Step 1 |
An application to enroll in the course is filled out. A High School and/or college transcript is submitted. Foreign students will need an official English Equivalency translation.

| Step 2 |
An oral interview is scheduled to discuss goals of the course and goals of the student. An orientation is given to the prospective student reviewing the Student Handbook and requirements of Section 1, 2, 3, 4.

| Step 3 |
The student submits three letters of recommendation.

| Step 4 |
The student writes a one page paper in their own handwriting concerning his/her philosophy of life and why he/she is choosing to take Montessori training.

| Step 5 |
Students without a college diploma may be asked to take the Wonderlic Test to assess ability to benefit from taking the course.

| Step 6 |
A student contract is signed, course books are issued and student begins the readings in Montessori Philosophy and Child Development in preparation for academic classes.

| Step 7 |
AMTE is authorized under Ferderal Law to enroll non-immigrant students. The student fills out the AMTE I20 application form and the AMTE office will apply for a SEVIS number in order for the qualified student to attend the training program.
